COVID 19 UPDATE: We're open! No contact delivery and safe transport available.
Safety and caution are the words of the day for Hampton Delivery Services. Staying “Covid safe” for clients and family during the pandemic means HDS has kept safety and sanitizing in the forefront of all we do. Using precautions and protection recommended by the CDC and infectious disease experts all HDS drivers take their temperatures daily, always wear a mask, sanitize multiple times during deliveries and transport while wearing gloves when appropriate or recommended. While staying on top of the best practices for eliminating the potential of passing on any virus HDS continues to serve our clients with the knowledge that making sure all deliveries and clients are kept safe means we’re also keeping our own family and home safe.

Hampton Delivery Services is a owner operated, local service company started and run by East End resident David J. Gribin. David handles about 95% of the jobs by himself.
David began the company in 2003 to help answer the need for home delivery of mail in Bridgehampton. As a recent transplant to the Bridghampton area he was working part time as a handyman at St. Lukes Church in East Hampton and had recently volunteered to serve on the Bridgehampton Fire Department. When he would pick up his and his parents mail at the post office he often heard residents complaining about no home delivery and an idea was born. The home mail delivery lead to the delivering of medications, legal documents, medium size household items, furniture and a few pretty odd items – a ostrich egg being an all time favorite - inspiring the early company motto “We deliver everything…except babies.”
Working with local residents soon grew to on going jobs for local companies including: Dan’s Papers, Town & Country Real Estate, The Sag Harbor Express, Bay Street Theater, The Parrish Art Museum and The Corcoran Group for whom David did twice a week deliveries and maintenance rounds from 2006 until furloughed by the pandemic.
With the pandemic keeping many people close to home the requests for delivery and transport jobs David did early on have resurfaced. Staying safe means many people don’t want to or can’t go to the Post Office, the pharmacy or the grocery store. Using every precaution available David is once again making deliveries for clients who are house bound. With a commitment to caution and care David continues to serve his clients who feel safer having him do their shopping, pick up pre-ordered items and yes…get them their mail when home delivery is not available.
Let Hampton Delivery Services do the driving…shopping…waiting on line and more for you.
David lives in Noyac with his wife of 14 years Ellen Dioguardi. David and Ellen are both very involved with the greater Sag Harbor community and can often be found at local events and fundraisers. They are especially passionate about live music shows and follow their favorite local musicians from Westhampton to Montauk.
Ellen has lived in Sag Harbor for over 35 years and is currently Director of Events for The Express News Group as well as recording secretary for The Sag Harbor Chamber of Commerce. When time allows, the couple enjoys going out on their boat in Noyac Harbor or taking their rescue dog Boots for long walks in Pineneck.
